Generate sIFR SWFs without Adobe Flash
For those of you unfortunate enough to not have Adobe Flash hand for generating sIFR swf files from fonts, dispair no more! Introducing sIFR Maker, a program that will generate the sIFR swf without buying Flash.
sIFRMaker is a fairly simple program to convert from a TTF to SWF by banging together swfmill files to properly generate a sIFR font file. This was mostly created as a convienience, as I do not own a copy of Flash, and buying it just to generate a couple font swfs just isn’t viable. This program also allows you to generate them in bulk or as part of a build script (not that any site should have 100 fonts in use). With each version of sIFR usually requiring regeneration of swfs, save yourself some hassle (and the cost of flash) and try artOfScaling’s sIFRMaker.
